Fake Fruit

Every Christmas I see cute little Marzipan fruits in stores and think about buying some. Finally I did. Now I'm not sure if I should eat them or just look at them.

  1. Anna, my grandmother used to buy marzipan fruit, identical to your photos. I haven't seen it available for many years in my side of the world. You've brought back a very sweet memory for me.

    1. I'm glad it was a sweet memory. Did you eat the marzipan fruit? I still haven't tasted it. They look so pretty in the box, I don't want to mess them up.

  2. Oh most certainly yes! My gran and I were the only two in our large family who loved marzipan. I know my gran got a lot of joy from having someone with whom she could share confectionary. You know how yummy things taste even better when shared? That was us!

I suggest keeping the box until close to the best-before date, if you can resist the temptation!

I'm going to search the stores for marzipan fruit. I think it's something I should introduce to my children.

    1. How wonderful! When I bite into the fruit, I will be joining you and your gran in spirit. :)
