Broken Crayons

They are good for helping little hands develop fine-motor control. I was told that I could soak the crayons in hot, soapy water to get the paper off. I dumped eleven boxes of sixteen crayons each in my dishpan.

I forgot that I was going to have to sort all the crayons in order to put an equal number of each color at the different tables.

The good news is, I now have a very colorful dishpan!

I learned my lesson and the next time I put each color into the dishpan separately. Plain hot water worked fine.

I told the students that artists break their crayons and I had no complaints.

Sorry, Giraffe #270. You can't erase crayon. Wait until the students use pencils.
