Book Cover Art ~ Vittorio Reggianini

Georgette Heyer is one of my favorite authors. Some of her books have been reprinted with beautiful new covers.

This cover comes from a painting by Vittorio Reggianini (1858-1924) entitled 'The Three Graces.'

Another cover by the same author.

It comes from 'The Recital,' painted by Reggianini.

Look at how satiny the material on the women's dresses and the musician's coat looks. I love this about Reggianini's work.

The Letter

An Idyllic Afternoon

Aren't the folds of her gown gorgeous?

The Answer

Reggianini's paintings have such a joyful aspect.

The Unseen Audience

The Eavesdroppers

Reggianini's paintings of simpler family activities are no less beautiful.

Serenading the Family

The Drafts Players

The Rehearsal

Looks like we have a couple more eavesdroppers in Giraffe #257 and Baby.

  1. The dresses are pretty.
It's almost her bd & the prices on some
of her books should come down. I've been

    Pink Kitty

    1. Last year I got a lot of Heyer's books for a low price on her birthday. She is such a wonderful author.

  2. My favourites are The Answer and The Eavesdroppers. The satiny dresses are beautiful. I am going to set myself a reminder to look for discounted books on Heyer's birthday.
