Useless Information. Or Is It?

Not if you can talk about it on a blog. For instance, did you know that an Ostrich's brain is the size of its eye? Ostriches have very, very small brains.

They are lovely eyes, aren't they? Not to mention the pretty pink beak. I wonder if that's a girl Ostrich?

Don't you just wonder what the Ostrich staring at us is thinking?

The Ostrich on the right looks surprised. I wonder if she just heard some good gossip from her friend.

Ostriches have the distinction of laying the largest eggs of any living animal. The eggs can weigh from three to five pounds. Decorated, they are beautiful.

Don't be sad, Giraffe #116. I'm sure your brain is much bigger than your eye. (And a lovely eye it is, too!)

  1. I didn't know that about ostrich brains. But it explains why they always look a bit dopey.

    1. They are pretty funny looking, aren't they?

  2. The ostritch may have a small brain, but it has a large eye. :)

They're cute in a weird sort of way.
