Country of the Week ~ Puerto Rico

Puerto Rican beaches. What more need I say. Look at that beautiful water on the Isle of Icacos. So clear and the color is wonderful. Doesn't it make you long to wade in?

Or maybe you'd like the Playa de Flamenco on the Island of Culebra. It's considered to be one of the top ten beaches in the world.

I love to walk along the beach and this one is perfect for that. This is on the Caribbean side of the island.  It would also make an interesting watercolor painting, don't you think?

There's more to Puerto Rico than beaches, like the lush rain forest of El Yunque.

And this beautiful Puerto Rican parrot.

And what a gorgeous flower Puerto Rico has for its national flower. Its named Thespesia grandiflora or Maga grandiflora.

Beach towel Giraffe #119 and I are going to check out Playa de Flamenco and see if it really is one of the top ten beaches in the world.
